The Sports Facilities Companies Selected to Operate Greater Pittsburgh's Largest Indoor Volleyball Facility
Monroeville’s ALL AMERICAN+ Field House Appoints James Pappas as General Manager
(CLEARWATER, Fla.) Nov. XX, 2025– The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) has been selected to manage day-to-day operations at the ALL AMERICAN+ Field House, Greater Pittsburgh’s largest sports and volleyball facility. Under SFC, the Monroeville, PA venue will be supported by a newly appointed on-site general manager, James Pappas, and a leadership team of venue experts, serving to enhance guest experience, expand programming and events, deepen community engagement, and provide transparent financial reporting for ownership on day one.
“We’re excited to partner with ALL AMERICAN+ Field House and the Monroeville community to elevate operations, create more high-quality programs and events, and build a long-term foundation for sustainable success,” said Michael P. Kelly, EVP at SFC. “Our focus will be on consistency and service—listening to the community, supporting the on-site team, and delivering the kind of guest experience that keeps families and event owners coming back.”
SFC’s full-time management model deploys systems covering staffing and scheduling, program development, event sales and execution, finance and accounting, HR, legal and risk, marketing, and sponsorship, with monthly budget-versus-actual reporting and annual business planning guiding performance from day one.
Effective October 27, 2025, James Pappas has been appointed as General Manager. A Penn State graduate with a B.S. in Business Management and an All-American powerlifter, Pappas brings more than three decades of sports, ticketing, operations, and enterprise systems experience spanning Major League Baseball (Pittsburgh Pirates), professional soccer (Pittsburgh Riverhounds), Tickets.com, and venue operations at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA.
“I am honored to be selected and am looking to have a positive impact on the facility,” said Pappas. “The facility has been here for decades and has meant different things to various segments of the community throughout its history, but I would like it to become an integral part of the region’s athletic and fitness community—a first‑class venue that offers engaging activities and programs staffed by helpful, friendly people.”
The local leader with deep regional relationships will concentrate first on strengthening operational fundamentals and building strong ties with staff, customers, and the broader community. “We will be concentrating on the basics to start—procedures, checklists, and getting to know the staff, community, and clientele.”
The ALL AMERICAN+ Field House draws more than 41,000 visits per month on average and over half a million annually, reflecting a broad regional reach and a balanced mix of youth and adult participants.
A premier regional destination for sports and events, the ALL AMERICAN+ Field House centers on a 100-yard indoor turf field with spectator-friendly restaurant viewing, complemented by a 75-yard outdoor turf field for year-round play. The building’s seven hardwood multi-purpose courts are anchored by a showcase championship court with restaurant viewing. Equipment and training assets include 24 basketball hoops, seven volleyball courts, five Dr. Dish shooting machines, a mini shooting gallery for sport-specific training, and 17 pickleball courts. Volleyball capacity now spans seven hardwood courts plus six newly added sport court volleyball courts. Amenities include a D1-level sports performance and fitness center, the Courtside Cafe, and flexible team rooms and party spaces—creating a spectator-first, athlete-optimized experience across the campus. Purpose-built to stage multi-day tournaments, large-scale community gatherings, showcases, leagues, training, and conferences, the venue is one of Pittsburgh’s largest, most versatile indoor event spaces.
The venue has hosted major events, including the SHOUT! Cheer & Dance National Competition, the Keystone Wrestling Championships, and Hoop Group Jam Fest, with event capacities reaching up to 5,000 people in a single day.
In addition to athletic programming, the venue advances youth development through its on-site 360+ Club, delivering life-skills enrichment, mentorship, leadership camps, and service opportunities to help develop the “whole athlete.”
